چکیده

This paper deals with problems of logical level designing, modelling and simulations of digital, combinatorial circuits, which are based on the current mode gates – new digital elements operating with constant, continuous power supply current. For the modelling and simulation purpose some elements of standard Active – VHDL library IEEE1164 were changed. All designed circuits (one and four bits adders, decoder, 32 – functions arithmetic – logic unit (ALU)) were described as VHDL models. Active – VHDL simulations verified both the method of designing and changes introduced into the standard VHDL library IEEE1164.

Verification of Current-Mode Digital Circuits Operating In Radix N Arithmetic And Destined For Implementation In Reconfigurable Devices

Modern VLSI application specific systems contain both digital and analog parts, where the first part usually is the specialized parallel processor, while the analog part is the preprocessing and interface unit between digital part and external world. Advances of the modern VLSI technology permit to implement such mixed systems on a single die. However, the problem of influence of a digital part...

Current Mode Multipliers and Constant Coefficient Multipliers for Radix N and modulo N Logic Arithmetic

This paper presents new structures of combinatorial and constant coefficient multipliers based on the current-mode gates – digital elements operating with constant, continuous power supply current. Current mode circuits do not perturb the analogue part of the chip integrated on the same die through the parasitic coupling across the substrate with the same strength as voltage mode circuits do. D...

A Minimal-Cost Inherent-Feedback Approach for Low-Power MRF-Based Logic Gates

The Markov random field (MRF) theory has been accepted as a highly effective framework for designing noise-tolerant nanometer digital VLSI circuits. In MRF-based design, proper feedback lines are used to control noise and keep the circuits in their valid states. However, this methodology has encountered two major problems that have limited the application of highly noise immune MRF-based circui...

Behavioral Modeling and Simulation of Semiconductor Devices and Circuits Using VHDL-AMS

During the past few years, a lot of work has been done on behavioral models and simulation tools. But a need for modeling strategy still remains. The VHDL-AMS language supports the description of analog electronic circuits using Ordinary Differential Algebraic Equations (ODAEs), in addition to its support for describing discrete-event systems. For VHDL-AMS to be useful to the analog design ...

Current-Mode Digital Gates and Circuits: Conception, Design and Verification

The paper deals with the problem of design and FPGAbased realization of digital circuits with the current-mode gates – novel digital gates operating with constant, continuous power supply current. The purpose is the provision of a high level of noise immunity of chips, which contain both analog and digital circuits. Using proposed approach to design digital current-mode circuits, the current-mo...
